Cut off is calculated based on the number of applications received and how many candidates appeared for the exam. The primary requirement for a student to be considered for the merit list is that they should have a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. However, in case of SC/ST & PWD Categories, the minimum aggregate is reduced to 40%. Then comes the actual cut-off. The higher the number of candidates and their overall marks, the higher the cut-off.
