As we know nothing is impossible in this world if somebody does it with the full dedication he or she will definitely get success. Similarly, JAIIB is one of the toughest exams, and clearing it on the first attempt is not easy but with the right material, strategy, and guidance one can easily crack this exam.

It is a Banking and Finance based exam which is conducted twice a year. It has a vast syllabus and there are three papers,

  • Accounting and Finance for Bankers
  • Principles and Practices of Banking
  • Legal and Regulatory Aspects of Banking

Any candidate who is appearing in JAIIB should know that he or she should get 50 marks out of 100 for each paper to qualify. Another criterion of getting 45 in two papers and 60 in any one paper will also let the candidate qualify.

If anyone has studied finance or commerce it will be relatively easy for them to crack JAIIB unlike for beginners and non-accounting background candidates, for whom the finance and accounting paper can be exceptionally difficult.

Due to the outbreak of the novel Corona Virus (Covid-19), the JAIIB exam 2021 was postponed and rescheduled for August and September. Click here to find out the jaiib exam eligibility.

According to the current situation, JAIIB exam 2022 has been scheduled and the dates are announced by The Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF).

How to qualify for the JAIIB exam?

One just needs to identify his or her strengths and weaknesses, know the syllabus, do proper analysis, and put in some extra effort which is the key to getting through this exam.

Get the right books

One should get the best books like a book by McMillan which IIBF also suggests for JAIIB. The Multiple Choice Questions in this book will give an idea of the level of preparedness. One should not jump from one book to another rather calmly try to complete one and then proceed to the next.

Know the syllabus

The key idea should be to plan for the syllabus. One should divide the syllabus in such a way that the student can touch everything on an everyday basis. The making of time table is equally important to achieve a high level of preparedness.

Make a strategy

Making strategy implies writing down the syllabus, dividing topics, and marking the dates against each part by which one will read that part.

Practice and attempt mock tests

One should necessarily search out last year’s question papers and practice them as practising more and more questions will provide an idea of the question type.

On the actual test day

One should try to solve the questions first which seems easier to them as this will give the score estimation, then try to solve the missed questions. One should try to attempt all the questions as there is no negative marking.

The Bottomline

This exam is good for technical experts who can do fast calculations and with easy tricks. One should practice shortcut methods, try to increase brain stamina, take care of time management and form a target for each paper as the JAIIB exam is very tough but not impossible.
