These two American snowboarders are younger than the other athletes on this list, but their story is just as great. As you know. they did not allow their ages to stop them from dreaming. While speaking about Lindsey, 36, and Nick, 40, made history during the 2022 Beijing Olympics after winning gold at the mixed team snowboard cross event.

Lindsey won this medal at the back of bagging a gold medal at the Winter Games. Furthermore, her achievement made her the oldest snowboarder to win a medal at the Olympic Winter Games. Don Pellmann

Don Pellmann, who since childhood had a strong passion for sports. A true dream and if he/she is followed genuinely, the dream becomes true. Also, he chose to put all his energy into his day job instead of pursuing other career options.

After his retirement in 1970, Pellmann reignited his passion for athletics. His passion motivated him to take part in the San Diego Senior Games on September 20, 2015. Pellmann’s amazing performance during the games solidified his status as a record-breaking athlete with five new records.

To illustrate, he completed the 100-meter race in an impressive 26.99 seconds. With a view point of anything in life, it will come true and in his case, he set a record for the 100 and older category. He beat Japan’s Hidekichi Miyazaki’s record by a whopping 2.84 seconds.

Moreover, Pellmann moved on to set a high jump record by becoming the first centenarian to clear an official height. Pellmann set records in other games such as long jump, discus throw, and shot put events. These achievements earned him the USATF “Athlete of the Week” title. Pellmann passed on October 11, 2020, aged 105.

Albert Hughes Jr.

Albert Hughes Jr. broke the Guinness World Record when he became the world’s oldest boxer at – believe it or not – aged 70. He was determined to break this record and started training with the help of his son, who was a military veteran. Unfortunately, his son took his own life before the match took place.

After this unfortunate event, Hughes wanted to quit. But decided to go on with the fight in honor of his son.

Before the famous fight, Hughes claimed he wasn’t doing it for the admiration and the greatest attention. In December 2019, he won the fight against a 43-year-old boxer and earned the title of the oldest boxer.
